Architectural Products
Sandwich panels, due to their dimensional stability – both in terms of cover width, as well as in terms of surface profiling – and due to their surface finishing consistency (color, nuance, gloss, etc.) consist a building system that allows for buildings’ architectural design of particular aesthetics, mainly characterized by repeated patterns.
Cold Storage Systems
Sandwich panels with insulating core in rigid plastic foam (PUR & PIR technology), consist the ideal solution for a fast and reliable construction of cold-rooms, both for positive and for negative temperature applications, where thermal insulation and air-tightness are the key parameters for a perfect result.
Fire Resistance Wall System
Sandwich panels with insulating core in mineral wool, consist a reliable solution for façade claddings and for partition walls with requirements for increased performance against fire, maintaining at the same time a sufficient level of thermal insulation.
Due to its inorganic nature, the core material is non-combustible, and when exposed to fire it does not contribute to fire growth. In combination with the robust and thermal-bridge-free joint of Metecno wall panels, a fire resistant wall-cladding element is obtained, that is, a barrier against flames smoke and heat, preventing in this way fire from spreading to adjacent buildings, as well as from contaminating the surroundings of the building, while at the same time guarantying a safe passage for occupants to evacuate the building, and for rescue teams to offer their services.
Acoustic Systems
Sandwich panels, although a light-weight construction system, present a remarkable performance in terms of acoustics.
Both polyurethane panels, but mostly mineral wool panels can offer a significant level of sound insulation, that is, reduction of sound transmission from one room (sound source) to adjacent rooms or to surroundings.
In addition, mineral wool panels with perforated steel faces, offer also increased sound absorption, which results in a further increase of their sound insulation capacity (sound transmission to surroundings), as well as in reduction of reverberation, and consequently to reduction of sound level, inside the sound source room.
